Training Program Development Team

Every complex mining operation needs quality training materials tailored to it. Subutai Mining Service established dedicated teams to develop training programs for the various Oyu Tolgoi operations.

Goal

To create competency-based, internationally aligned training packages, manuals and assessment materials suited to underground and open-pit operations.

Period

Ongoing since 2015, updated in line with new mine phases and equipment.

Partners

Oyu Tolgoi LLC and international vocational education institutions.

Approach

Working from job and competency analysis, the team develops curricula, trainer and learner guides, practical and assessment materials, then pilots and refines them to meet client standards.

Results

• More than 60 training packages developed.
• Training gained a unified standard and consistent quality.
• New staff can be prepared faster and more effectively.
